First Grade

Welcome to 1st grade! We are going to have a Frog-tastic year! Your students are going to have fun, take fabulous field trips and grow together as a community of learners.

I went to college in San Diego at Point Loma Nazarene University. I graduated with my BA in Child Development. I moved to the beautiful PNW in 1999. I worked around the area in different child care facilities, but I knew that I wanted to be a teacher. In 2001, I went back to school to get my teaching certificate. I graduated from Western Washington University in 2003. At this time, I had a beautiful young daughter at home and another on the way. I subbed for a few years and then was hired in 2006 to teach Kindergarten. Since then I have taught 1st, 2nd, 1/2 split, 2/3 split. I love working in the coop. I have amazing co-workers and I get to meet wonderful families!

My Favorites...

At home

I love staying at home in cozies and getting dressed up to have fun! I enjoy going to the movies, eating out, and reading magazines.

Things for the classroom

Our classroom theme is frogs… anything frog-tastic that you can find!

Favorite Restaurants

There are not many restaurants I do not like!  I enjoy Cristiano’s, Red Robin, Boston’s, Blazing Onion, Tres Hermanos pretty much anything!

Favorite Day Savers

I like sparkly water, skinny vanilla lattes, passion tea (no cane sugar, 2 equals).  I like veggies and hummus, pretzels, cheeze-its.

Favorite Places

Again shopping is not an issue!  I like many, many places!  Target, Nordstroms, Amazon, Kohls, and Hobby Lobby to name a few!
